Stonewall Gallery
The lowest level of the barn, now attractive exhibit space, was once the dirt-floored milking area for an active dairy farm. Out of use for many years, it was completely renovated in 2001. This included blasting the peeling whitewash off the beams, installing a ceramic floor, and reconstructing the original fieldstone foundations which circle three sides of the room. The completion provided us with 1200 square feet of exhibition space which is used for group or solo shows, demonstrations, workshops, or other special events. It is somehow satisfying and appropriate to attend art events and art shows in a space that is as lovingly hand made as the art it holds. We are booking shows for 2008.
